House 06: Clouds
What is unclear?
In a Grand Tableau, the House of Clouds draws your attention to where your bearings become blurred.
Something is not clear enough yet.
Information may be missing. A situation may be misunderstood. Two versions may be getting mixed together. You may simply lack the distance needed to see what is really happening.
To read this House, look at the card there and ask yourself:
What is unclear?
The card there helps you understand what the doubt concerns or what is still hard to see.
You do not always need the answer right away
This is probably the most important lesson of this House.
When Clouds appear, the best response is not necessarily to search harder until you get a clear answer.
Sometimes the Grand Tableau is simply telling you:
You cannot see clearly enough here yet.
And that is already information.
The card placed in this House may show what subject remains unclear.
It may also help you understand why.
So ask yourself:
What do I not understand here yet?
or:
What information am I missing before I can reach a conclusion?
A few examples to help you understand
With the Sun
The Sun speaks of light, understanding, and something becoming visible.
In the House of Clouds, it may show clarity beginning to break through.
Something you did not understand may become more obvious. A truth may begin to appear. A confusing situation may finally receive enough light to be seen differently.
But the Sun does not make the Clouds disappear all at once.
It shows you where to look to find your way out of the fog.
With the Crossroads
The Crossroads speak of a choice or several possible directions.
In the House of Clouds, they may show a choice you are not yet able to make clearly.
Perhaps the options are not well defined.
Perhaps some information is missing.
Perhaps you do not yet know what each path really involves.
So the answer is not necessarily:
Choose now.
It may be:
First understand what you are missing before you choose.
What if Clouds fall in their own House?
Clouds in the House of Clouds show that the lack of clarity is itself part of the message. Doubt, worry, or missing information blurs the situation enough that it can no longer be ignored.
Instead of forcing a clear answer, look for exactly what remains confusing. What subject are you unsure about? What is not yet visible? The cards around Clouds may show where the fog comes from and what could clear it.
This position does not make confusion permanent. Sometimes the most honest information in the tableau is simply: you cannot see clearly enough yet to draw a conclusion.
Fog is not the whole landscape
When you walk through fog, the landscape has not disappeared.
You simply cannot see all of it yet.
The House of Clouds works in much the same way.
It shows an area of doubt, but it does not say the whole situation is confusing or will stay that way.
A difficult card here does not become a final truth about a person or situation.
A favorable card does not guarantee that everything is already settled either.
Above all, it helps you understand what is still trying to become clear.
Remember
At position 06, look at the card there and complete the thought:
What remains unclear concerns…
Then let the card answer.
If you still do not understand the situation, do not force a conclusion.
Instead, ask:
What am I still missing to see clearly?
Sometimes the House of Clouds does not give you an answer.
It shows you why it is still too soon to have one.
